Welcome to Day 5 of Cooking With Cricut's week-long 2nd Blogaversary Celebration! This week we are celebrating all things "girly."
Yesterday we put on our tiaras and/or crowns and had a quite regal day! Today we're venturing into true frilliness . . . lace, ruffles and bows! Those of you that know me, know that I am NOT a girly-girl! My favorite color is blue, I'm not into fancy clothes, nail polish or make-up. Fortunately, I have an 8 year old who LOVES all of those things . . . still not sure how I ended up with such a girly-girl daughter, LOL! So I tried to channel some "frou-frou-frilly-ness" and here's what I came up with . . .
Well, it's not too frou-frou, but I did manage to get some lace and bows onto my project! This is my darling daughter at 5 months old -- such a cutie-pie and what a HAM! (The trick to getting Demi to smile for the camera was an overly dramatic and very loud AAAAH-CHOO! Worked every time!)
Here's the recipe for my 12" x 12"" scrapbook layout:
Cricut Mother's Day 2010 cartridge -
- Lace - cut from white card stock at 11" long and then cut in half length-wise.
- Title mat - cut from white card stock at 5" long.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll head on over to Cooking With Cricut and check out the amazing projects our Design Team came up with! And make sure you join us tomorrow (Saturday, May 26) for the last day of our week-long CWC 2nd Blogaversary Celebration!

Great job...I am feeling you on the girly-girly thing...my baby girl,3 years old, refuses to leave the house unless she has a skirt on and I am jeans/sweatpants kinda girl. Love the way you used the light blue to give it a girly feel.

Beautiful little girl and a beautiful page!! Love how you embraced the lace and bow inspiration!!! What is it about a little ones liking a sneeze. My kids also loved the way my dad blew his nose. :o)
ReplyDeleteAww look at your sweet baby girl! Is she really 8 years old already?! Wow! This layout is darling and you did a great job of adding that "frou frou frillyness" hehe! Now this I call girly girl! You don't need the pink just the lace and bows! Demi is still precious as an 8 yr. old!
