Happy Wednesday! Our "Crafts With Cutters" challenge this week at MyPaperCrafting.com is "Chilly Celebrations." Melin tasked the Design Team with creating a wintry birthday, anniversary, wedding or shower project this week. This was the perfect challenge for me . . . I needed both an anniversary and a wedding card this week!
Here is the wedding card for our niece Stephenie, who is getting married this weekend in North Carolina:
The recipe:
- The mat, snowflake and "Mr. & Mrs." were cut using the Cricut Tie the Knot cartridge. The mat is the card feature and is cut at 4 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" tall. The snowflake (pg. 41) s cut at 2" tall. The phrase (pg. 62) is cut at 4" wide.
- The penguins are from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. and are cut at 2 1/2" tall.
- The top hat and bridal veil are from the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The hat is cut at 1 3/4" wide. The veil was cut at 1 7/8" tall.
- All papers are from my scrap stash except the card base. The card measures 5" x 7" and is Bazzill "Pinkini" card stock.
- I used Stickles on the veil, top hat band and snowflake.
My second card is for my Mom and Step-Dad who are celebrating their third wedding anniversary today!
Here's the recipe:
- The branch and bird house are cut using the Cricut Winter Frolic cartridge. All of the papers are from my scrap stash -- the image was cut at 5" wide.
- I used some Stickles on the branches and roof of the birdhouse for "snow."
- The mat was embossed using the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and I inked the edges.
- The bird's beaks and eyes were given their shine using 3-D Crystal Lacquer. The small clear rhinestone heart is from Michaels.
- The sentiment was created using Microsoft Publisher.
- The inside reads " . . . to our favorite lovebirds."
I hope you'll head on over to MyPaperCrafting.com and check out the wonderful projects the rest of the Design Team created. Don't forget -- you can link up your "Chilly Celebration" project for a chance at being named this week's "Top Crafty Cutter" and claiming a gift certificate from PaperCraftingWorld.com.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful rest of the week.
