Happy Wednesday! I am the featured designer at PaperCraftingWorld.com today and I've whipped up a couple of quick and easy treats for your next cookie decorating party.
My nieces and nephews will soon be old enough for their Aunt Jen to have them over to decorate Christmas cookies. This tradition was started in our family about 36 years ago by my Step-Mom, Linda. She loved to bake, especially at Christmas time. The Christmas before she married my Dad, Linda invited me and her nieces over to bake cookies. We had so much fun that it became a yearly tradition; one that I intend to keep with the grandchildren she never got to meet. My 9 year old daughter and I bake cookies every year and decorate them to give to family and friends -- maybe my oldest niece, who just turned six will get to help this year!
When I saw these cute digis at PaperCraftingWorld.com, I knew immediately that they would be put to good use for my future decorating parties! Here's what I made:
My invitation uses the pre-colored PCW Gingerbread Baker digi stamp. I simply printed it out after adding some WordArt, circle cut it and double matted the image. The invite base measures 5" x 7" and is kraft colored card stock. The plaid paper is some from my scrap stash, as is the green band. A couple of red buttons, a red bow and a very cute gingerbread man button complete this adorable invitation!
The treat bag uses the pre-colored PCW Gingerbread Cookies digi stamp. I matted the image on red card stock and added it to my brown paper bag. A quick fold, punch and tied ribbon -- and viola! an adorable treat bag for the kiddos to take home their cookies in.
Thanks so much for stopping by and spending some of your crafty time with me!
