Welcome to Day 2 of birthday card week! I have a birthday this week and I could think of no better way to celebrate than with a week-long celebration with my bloggy buddies! A different card each and every day and a small piece of blog candy, too. And at the end of the week . . . a special gift drawn by random.org from all the party-goers!
Today's card is a "tall" card or in this case a "long" card. It measures 4" high and 9 1/4" wide and is made out of a piece of plain ol' white card stock. All of the die cuts are from the Paper Pups cartridge.
I used the circle feature and cut these cuties at 2 1/2" from a Recollections orange card stock. The blue mat is also a Recollections card stock. I cut a white card stock piece to mat the orange circles.
The dog collar is just a strip of patterned scrapbook paper and the dog collar buckle is cut from a silver Bazzill Bling card stock at 3/4" high. A little pen stitching and some dots with a white gel pen complete this card.
The inside of the card features a bone border that I welded together using Cricut Design Studio. It measures approximately 9" wide. "Hot Dog" is cut at about 4 1/2" wide.
I think this card turned out pretty cute! And even better, the guy that received it -- loved it and couldn't believe that I had made it (love it when they flip the card over and look for that little crown ;) )!

You can't have a birthday without some presents! So each day this week, Monday through Friday, there will be a little blog candy for you to win. And then at the end of my birthday bash there will be a grand prize winner drawn from all the participants during the week. The comments section for each day will stay open until 10:00 a.m. EST on Monday, June 27th. Winners for each day and the grand prize winner will be announced later that day.
To be eligible for the prizes please be a follower of my blog and leave a comment with your e-mail address. You can increase your chances, of course, by commenting on each day's post. Today's blog candy is two clear mini stamp sets by Studio G.

ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteWhat's with the orange and blue? LOL! Really it is a cute card. It would be even better if it were crimson and white.
