Winnie the Pooh has been a favorite of mine since childhood. And I guess I must have passed that love on to my older daughter, Emily. Emily and her husband, Joey, will be first-time parents in mid-May and they have decided to decorate their son's room in a Pooh theme. We are throwing her a baby shower next month with a Winnie the Pooh theme, of course. Dee and I went to work on shower invitations and this is what we came up with.
The baby Pooh eating hunny was cut from the Cricut Pooh Font cartridge at 3" high. The card is 4 1/4" wide by 5 1/2" tall -- to fit in a standard invitation envelope. The brown "Baby Shower" frame was cut using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge and stretched a bit using the Cricut Design Studio. The blue piece was run through my printer and the text is also brown.
Inside the card is the shower information and on the back is a map to the shower location.
The papers and other materials used are as follows:
Card base - Bazzill Lily Pond
Baby Shower frame - Bazzill Brown
Baby Shower insert - Bazzill Evening Surf
Pooh - various Bazzill papers
Patterned paper - We R Memory Keepers - White Out Collection, Explore-Tracks
Ribbon - Offray, olive green with brown stitching
Bee - rubber stamp - Cloud 9 Designs - Simple Thoughts - Baby
Brads - mini pale green (purchased at Michael's)
Stay tuned . . . more Pooh stuff to come!
